Invited by Sylvain Groud, Grégoire Korganow films rehearsals of the création of Héros Ordinaires – Ordinary Heroes, work for five dancers and four opera singers. 

Héros Ordinaires – Ordinary Heroes was created at Ma Scène Nationale Pays de Montbéliard, then presented at the Opéra de Rouen within the Festival Automne en Normandie and at Théâtre de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines a national theater. 

“The first minutes when I saw Sylvain Groud dance opened doors for me onto an unknown world for me, that of contemporary dance. Today I want to slip into the shoes of this choreographer, see him evolve, question, feel. It is surely also a way for me to question my own creative process. The film offers a sensitive and intuitive journey through a choreographer’s world, at the moment when he is creating a show. It doesn’t explain anything, it leaves the audience to generate their own impression by giving them a priviledged view at the heart of an artist’s work.”
