*L’Étoile (The Star) is the name of the self-supported sculpture-structure, but also the generic name of this ensemble of short pieces.

The Star, an architecture floating in space, beyond the limits of weightlessness, a sculpture-structure, made of steel tubes and taut cables. In the beginning, there was the more than probable encounter between a scenographer – designer of technologico-poetic objects – and a tightrope walker dreaming of wires tightened without anchorage. The flight of their fancies, a dream called Star.   

On the Star, a small universe representing a tightrope, Les Colporteurs imagine a repertoire of small forms for the company’s artists, but also for other accomplice “high wire” artists, invited to come and tame the structure…
