The Inquisitive Middle, 2013

The idea is to dance and move using the music of James Holden, his most recent album, The Inheritors, a composition full of electronic soundscapes that fascinate, deform, expand and diffuse. We press play and for one hour and fifteen minutes dance the disc from the inside out, from beginning to end, A simple idea that gathers complexity as we are faced with the difficulty and impossibility of the task.

Drawing upon years of dancing and improvising UK Dancer and Choreographer Lucy Suggate in collaboration with Stage Director, Performer, and Choreographer Sonia Gómez try to expand the textures and sensations of Holden’s beguiling electronic compositions. Expect to see sparks fly.
