Les artistes qui partagent cette aventure sont danseurs, acrobates et comédiens. De cette somme d’individualités, fusionne un groupe qui fait corps, au service d’une histoire. C’est autour de ce groupe que convergent toutes ces énergies.
“For this new creation, I have brought together on the same stage my first access to show-business: circus, my current driving force: dance, and that towards which I am leaning: a certain theatricality. The artists who share this adventure with me are dancers, acrobats and actors. From this assembly of individuals, each with particular characteristics, a group gels and forms a unit to tell a story. This group forms the focal point for all these energies: that of hip-hop being close to that of the circus. To create my show, I started with a place: the waste ground. A certain nostalgia binds me to this kind of place where anyone is free to come, build, destroy, play, create. It is a place of passage, encounters, lives… When I was a youngster, it was my playground. Usually thought of as a ‘non-place’ in a divided and compacted urban landscape where the overwhelming feeling is that of being stifled, the waste ground is also like a breath of fresh air to me, a respiration devoid of external constraints. A place where life worms its way in with its own codes and rules, a place where everything is possible. A place made in the image of the people who live there, marginalised by the outside world.”
