Seeds (retour à la terre)
Between joyous ode to Earth and dark fable about the dangers that threaten it, Seeds, seeds in English, is an ecological and danced fable. Carolyn Carlson, a major figure in contemporary dance, calls for an awareness of future generations. On stage, three dancers meet Elyx, a small virtual character created by visual artist Yacine Aït Kaci. Elyx is a man as children draw them, made of a pencil line and a big mischievous smile. He lives his adventures on a giant screen, from which he rains seeds to sow life on earth. Together they are weaving a world apart, a fragile world that needs to be cared for. A world that can also create wonders with its giant trees and its moving lights. A universe in which every gesture, every movement breathes a natural harmony with its environment. Seeds sows hope for new ideas, new desires. With this piece, Carolyn Carlson, who still dances with the infinite, questions and invites young and old to imagine together the Earth of tomorrow.
