Le Spectre de la Rose - Inkal Remix

The videodance “Le Spectre de la rose” features a dancer moving through a symbolic space, where the interaction between the body and the visual elements – in particular a red halo – conveys a form of spiritual possession. The set and visual effects create a mise en abyme that intimately links the dancer to her environment. Inspired by the ballet of the same name, itself based on the poem by Théophile Gautier, the animated dance explores the links between body and spirit through a dreamlike, sensory aesthetic. The spectre, symbolised by a red veil, embodies a force that gradually animates the dancer, suggesting a transformation or rebirth.

The contemporary soundtrack (Spirit Walk by Inkal) reinforces this spiritual dimension and amplifies the poetic and synaesthetic scope of the work. This work questions the boundary between the visible and the invisible, between the tangible body and the energy that flows through it.
