Käfig, sharing 20 years of dance

Journalist Frédérique Cantù revisits the story of Käfig through 26 minutes of unpublished archives. Produced to mark the company’s 20th anniversary, this documentary shows raw images, decoded and commented on to plunge into the company’s daily life from its beginnings in Saint-Priest in the late 1980s to the present day at Centre chorégraphique national de Créteil. Mourad Merzouki guides us on a journey that includes night rehearsals, interviews with handheld cameras, street happenings, travels to the four corners of the world, and moments captured backstage, as he conquers the stage for hip-hop dance.
