Creative process

This piece was created in a pandemic context, a few months after declaring ourselves in danger and estranged. For the virtual Festival of Argentine Bodypainting “Fibopa”.
My artistic practice is contact, I am an artist of painting on skin. The pandemic also challenged my profession, the support of living art.

Develop post-identity even if it is not named in the world yet… what am I? What is post-human identity? How do I build identity? What are we alone? what is the other? What exists between..” What exists in this “inside” and that “outside”, all this was part of what was taken to the image and its edition.

My interest is based on the painted body as a potential language, support for living, empathetic and political art. Through bodypainting I represented a building on the body, I applied the use of 3 different color chromas to be able to differentiate what happened in each part of the body (red, green and blue). I constantly tried to represent the aesthetic experience of the intangible of being. What is presented to us as an ideal, and does not promote my identity, only attacks emotion. I wanted to convey the evidence of a collapse that belongs to everyone and is constant, supported by the mix of effects, or sounds that appeal to an interior beat.

Music

The camera and the sounds are designed to cross the aesthetic experience in the viewer. I used a base music (https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Spectacular_Sound_Productions/Breathing/Breathing) and then I added sound effects.
