At the time of a trip to Yaounde, I asked the question: “Which is the most known person in Cameroon? ”, the answer was without call… Samuel Eto’o.
At the time of a trip to Yaounde, I asked the question: “Which is the most known person in Cameroon? ”, the answer was without call… Samuel Eto’o, celebrates it footballer who played Milan, Madrid, Chelsea, and which in particular obtained 4 gold balloons in Africa. How a whole people can be identified with a shirt, a brand, a logo? What thus constitutes the major identity of people and an individual within a nation? Why wouldn’t there be, in Cameroon, other prospects for emancipation that football? On the plate, work explores dimensions of shadow and light. It is a question of digging the transformation of the image through the handling of the shirt and of venturing in the concept of false identity. The strong man, the warrior, the winner proceeds to a deconstruction of his image of frontage.
