Several months before the 2009 “Heiva i Tahiti” annual dance competition (in July every year), “Tamariki Poerani” dancers are rehearsing on a parking lot. This is a “Ote’a tane” (men dance) from the 2009 “Mono’i” show. In that form of dancing moves need to be precise and very manly.
