Through these different episodes, “Les gestes de la danse” (Dance gestures) invites choreographers accustomed to Chaillot to question the gesture of their choice.
With Carolyn Carlson, José Montalvo, Tatiana Julien, Jann Gallois, Noé Soulier, Abou Lagraa, Michèle Noiret and Olivier Dubois.
Co-developed by the La Baraka company and the Edmond de Rothschild Foundations, the Premier(s) Pas programme is a springboard for professional dancers from multiple horizons. A magnificent chance for these ten performers. To participate in two creations on the same show first, but also to be individually accompanied for the management of their career afterwards. The two parts of the Premier(s) Pas show magnificently highlight, in an emancipatory dance, the diversity of each person’s language and talents. Signed by Nawal, the first opus combines contemporary, hip-hop, jazz and classical dance on a composition by Olivier Innocenti based on the famous Agnus Dei by Barber, whereas Abou has chosen Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for a piece that is at once feminine and masculine. A double deflagration.
