What binds us together.
This sixth edition asks: what room is left for the expression of our bodies, the seat of our anger as well as that of our hopes? From the represented space to the interiorised or collective space, we are connected to our emotions, to those of others and to our own, through the fundamental elements that surround us.
In the exhibition ‘Acqua Alta – La traversée du miroir’, by the Adrien M and Claire B company, water submerges us with a story of fear and strangeness, that of otherness and its taming.
With his installation ‘It will be a paradise’, French artist Jérémy Oury takes his inspiration from a poem by Mahmoud Darwish: what power does man have over the architecture that surrounds him? Can the lightness of his movements be transmitted to the particles of the physical elements?
Finally, ‘Futile / gesture’ by Aaron Holmes and Yolanda-Tianyi Shao offers us a lively, skin-deep dance combining traditional 2D and contemporary dance. Nugget 2023 summons up conflict and its impasses to bring about its dissolution, in a common surge of creativity and shared purpose’.
