Inspired by the work of the Spanish film director, Pedro Almodovar, by subjects and music that are dear to him, the Mimulus Company explores the relationships between people in an “almodovarian” atmosphere. Using pop-style aesthetics, the choreographer plays with the thin line that separates good and bad taste, beauty and the beast, classiness and kitsch and comedy and drama.
