“Sin arrimo y con arrimo” is a dual piece set to the musics of Pascal Dusapin and Louis Andriessen. The decors were imagined by Agnès Lévy, the light created by Françoise Michel, and the costumes by Hermès.
Sarah Crépin, Bernard Estrabut, Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh, Emmanuelle Facquet, Patrick Rébus, Franck Picart, and Virginie Mirbeau are the artists.
Produced by the Théâtre du Volcan, Le Havre, and the Théâtre de la Ville, this piece toured from October 1995 to June 1996.
This is what the programme of the Théâtre du Volcan, Le Havre (October 5th to 7th, 1995) says about the piece:

“”Con arrimo” establishes an extremely close relationship between the form of the string quartet and the alternation of 4 dancers on stage. On the floor, 4 square canvases, 4 representations of the body, painted by Agnès Lévy, determine the choreographic scope. The dance is performed on these painted supine bodies where horizontality and verticality challenge one another. (…) [This piece] is an intimate ritual that attempts to depict the shining life that returns to the fore. In “Sin arrimo”, pain, heartbreak, separation, drive the dancers into moments of urgency, appeasement and sensuality. Verticality and its denial constantly provide the reasons for reconciliation between spiritual rapture and erotic practice: raising temperatures, tension, sex, body and soul”.
