Artists in residence, Allison Faye

Allison Faye, winner of the Théâtre de Suresnes at the Détours Festival in Brussels in 2023, shares her inspiration and work for the creation of her first duet, “Bernard”, programmed for the 33rd edition of the Suresnes Cités Danse festival.
“What I liked, I think, was trying to bring the hermit crab back to our bodies and our behavior as human beings. It evokes poetic links for me in relation to the roles we can slip into socially; the difficulty sometimes of feeling ourselves, of finding our place, how we can feel cramped, how we can also sometimes hide.”
