Our whole being is just the delusion of many. Robert Musil

A king in the shadow of his castle and his people, the church and its faithful in the shadow of the pope, a boss in the shadow of his workers and factory. Three tyrants locked in the closet of an abandoned monument, alone in the exercise of their language, a register codified by the respective nature of their power: temporal, spiritual, and economic. To exercise this power, they must bring this empty kingdom to bend the knee and paradoxically, all of them sovereign, must submit themselves. Tyrants govern, subjugation exposes them to the shock of metamorphosis, a deconstruction of their own code, this corporeal place holding up social function. The blooming of the Individual, the “man without qualities”, emerging from the chrysalis of sovereignty is then inevitable. The body finds a unique language, not related to its role but to its nature. In turn, the individual opens itself to a new metamorphosis, the eruption of the real body instead of the character figure’s, the artist escaping from the individual whose abandoned, molting costume, reveals the artifice.

This trio explores with humor the body’s places, its ability to absorb protocol, codes, its resilience and continuous reinvention.
