Twin Houses, a multiple monologue that presents Nicole Mossoux and five articulate mannequins together in such close proximity that one no longer knows who is manipulating who nor who holds power over the other.
Imagine finding yourself invaded by a multitude of beings who act through you without asking your opinion. They grab hold of one or other part of your body, creep in between your intentions and your gestures, emitting contradictory voices, strange discourses…Twin Houses, a multiple monologue that presents Nicole Mossoux and five articulate mannequins together in such close proximity that one no longer knows who is manipulating who nor who holds power over the other.Nicole Mossoux and Patrick Bonté’s only foray into the domain of animated forms, in Twin Houses the dancer is confronted by its doubles. Since its premiere, the performance has toured continuously across the five continents.The performance is presented in the form of a series of short stories, at times cruel at others burlesque. It is interspersed with black-outs, serving as memory lapses from which are born in us forces unknown to us and out of which emerges the “Unheimlich”, a disquieting strangeness.”How to kill your double, when each strike against it multiplies and engenders a conspiracy against you, the reason for which you are ignorant of?
