The space, the light, the sound entirely inhabited, crossed, stretched, cut, chopped by the harp’s and Ariadne’s strings, this curtain of running cords which extends towards infinity and whose raw material is 3 millimetre diameter cotton thread…

Based on the circus piece Ariane(s) by Cécile Mont-Reynaud and Hélène Breschand
“Ariadne(s), an aerial artist playing on her strings, and a harpist on hers, both subject to tensions, vibrations, floating and settling.
Ariadne, face-to-face with herself in the labyrinth, following her thread to infinity.
Of course, the labyrinth is constructed out of the threads themselves. The space, the light, the sound entirely inhabited, crossed, stretched, cut, chopped by the harp’s and Ariadne’s strings, this curtain of running cords which extends towards infinity and whose raw material is 3 millimetre diameter cotton thread: an Ariane’s thread.”
