Tricôté

Sous toutes les coutures, Mourad Merzouki met en scène et chorégraphie les coulisses d’un spectacle.

Mourad Merzouki builds ties with a young audience in this new show aimed particularly at children (and curious adults too!). He spins his yarn with an adaptation of the “The Oak and the Reed” from La Fontaine’s Fables. Cast off…to behind the scenes. How do you put on a show? How and where do you start? How do you choose the dancers, the music? The choreographer helps us follow the thread of the creative process by answering questions that audiences often ask of artists. By turning the fabric of the show inside out, he presents choreographed on stage all that goes on beforehand and backstage. First the auditions and rehearsals, then the first performances… Three strands woven together to lead us from conception to production, three episodes presenting before our very eyes how a show is knitted together and sewn up.
