Pas de deux subtil et envoûtant, “Trauma”, conte l’histoire d’un couple, ses déboires et ses élans.

Born in 1942 in Milwaukee, John Neumeier trained at the London Royal Ballet School and in Copenhagen with Volkova. Appointed ballet master and choreographer at the Hamburg Opera in 1973, with Trauma Neumeier signed his first French choreography.

Harald Genzmer’s music, cantata for soprano and electronic sounds form a universe of sound that perfectly matches the dreamlike choreography developed by John Neumeier, where two dancers evolve in a tumultuous world of memories and dreams with the clumsy gestures of the blind.

A subtle and bewitching pas de deux, Trauma tells the story of a couple, its setbacks and its joys.
