On 2024, Thursday 25 January, we attended a remarkable artistic performance  at the Musée de l’Orangerie entitled “The Future of Statues”. Directed  by artist and filmmaker Charlotte Dauphin and ballet dancer Marie-Agnès  Gillot, this performance offered spectators an immersive and captivating  experience, with Claude Monet’s famous painting “Les Nymphéas” as the  backdrop. The performers, accompanied by violinist Manon Galy, merged  their artistic skills to deliver an emotional experience in the heart of  the French capital.

Just like Monet’s Water Lilies, the performance captured a moment of  beauty and poetry, immortalising the ephemeral in the recollection of a  shared moment. As time seems to be speeding up in today’s fast-paced  society, this performance invited spectators to slow down, reflect and  connect with their senses.

It was a delicate, multi-sensory experience, attended by Saskia de  Brauw, India Mahdavi, Elsa Zylberstein, Louise Follain, Sulian Rios,  Lorena Vergani and many others.
