This seems more like the result of a nightmare than of the “sweet dreams” of wholesome slumbers. “Sweet Dreams” casts an ironic glance at the complex world og the human subconscious. This world of secret dreams, long-cherished wishes, and wild desires is realised in a work that Kylián has described as “a choreographic collage of absurd pahoristic scenes”. The apple is the universal symbol of human strivings for the forbidden fruits of life.
