STOLAR

Stolar means chair in Swedish. This accessory is found in each painting, used by the six dancers in very different ways: First, in a mysterious quartet, which evolves into an increasingly jubilant dance as they meet. Then a duet: A dancer and a dancer face each other to playfully approach the possible relationships between a man and a woman: approach, dodging, seduction, rejection… Finally a sextet putting all the dancers on a fictitious place where encounters take all imaginable forms. The six dancers exchange their disciplines in turn to create solos, duets, trios, ensembles, canons, crazy marches, freeze frames… Thus the techniques of Break, Popping, House, Newstyle or Locking will be able to echo, mingle or confront each other to give spectators a complete panorama of hip-hop dance.
