“On a screen, images of the city pass by; on the floor, Hervé Robbe is developing a basic dance of extreme complexity. It explores the legitimacy of a journey, the affirmation of a path.”
“On a screen, images of the city pass by; on the floor, Hervé Robbe is developing a basic dance of extreme complexity. It explores the legitimacy of a journey, the affirmation of a path. Video creation, produced by Aldo Lee, and dance: the juxtaposed compositions leave room for intuition, emotional strength, without censorship. And so we watch a sensitive stroll. Something reminiscent of a wave. The unfurling in space and time of an organic matter springing from the bodies’ history. Here movement is a place of memory…”

“Offering an image of a reality, an everyday life, that was part of oneself. Like wandering through this space and, jaded, finding traces, layers of a buried memory. The violence and pain of the place, their decay, their disintegration, like some fatal disappearance of one’s history. It’s like wiping the slate clean with Death, simply tidying things up. Gestures which try in vain to uncover the substance of these buried shadows, to find the pieces of an unsolvable puzzle. Fragments of colours, shapes, matter that becomes hollow, mingles, then receives the confidences of a dreamer. Then, on waking, reinventing one’s present, recovering one’s composure after the sadness of grieving.”
