People dance pressed close against each other… People is a piece born of research into the individual’s identity within a group, into the alchemy that occurs when more than two people move in close touch with each other… what are they expecting ?

People dance pressed close against each other… People is a piece born of research into the individual’s identity within a group, into the alchemy that occurs when more than two people move in close touch with each other … what are they expecting? The cheek-by-jowl contiguity of the situation sets in motion a mechanism rendered inevitable by interdependence. No story can but move forward to completion, even when there is no deliberate intention to construct it. Do they know each other? Each protagonist is responsible for his own movements, making readable his relation to the other and taking his place in this polyphony of movement. Do they talk to each other? The act is in the power of gesture, in the reading of it and its consequence. In situ, its force lies in its confrontation with the movements of the crowd, the public of circulating passers-by, and in its adaptation to the urban landscape of cities and living spaces.
