Documentary on Catherine Diverrès’ production ‘O Sensei’, in which the choreographer honours the memory of Kazuo Ohno, one of the masters of Butoh.
« Ohno’s art is so unique that in the language of Butoh itself, he is Butoh, a sort of hyphen between the worlds of the living and the dead. My experience with Ohno was a deep, radical revolution, involving my entire being. I took my entire choreographic vocabulary and language, accumulated over so many years –and chose to start over, tabula rasa. »
