Les Fantômes du temps
A man (Jean-Claude Gallotta) looks intently at his reflection in a mirror. The reflection of a woman (Mathilde Altaraz) superimposes itself on his. He tries to pursue it from the other side of the mirror, looking for his face among all the characters he meets during all the situations he goes through.
This mirror does not in fact give a faithful reflection – it interprets, it exists in its own right, has a life of its own. Its images are constantly changing and let another side be seen, a world beyond the mirror, in which each person finds him or herself projected as an image. The mirror thus becomes a door which opens onto lands to which the main characters find themselves transported.
These dreamlike, sensual worlds make them discover Japanese gardens, Chinese rivers and improbable spaces inhabited by our fantasies of the other side – the ghosts of time.
