La danse de l'épervier
Des personnages de légende aux costumes moyenâgeux et orientaux ont rendez-vous près d’un puits. Lent rituel ponctué de courses que la prise de vue métamorphose et dilate par des ralentis.
A choreographic tale by the Ma Danse Rituel Théâtre, based on the work Le Puits de l’épervier by Hideyuki Yano. Legendary characters in medieval and oriental costumes have an appointment near a well. A slow ritual punctuated by races that the shooting metamorphoses and distends by slow motion sequences.
The image treatment echoes the almost sacred character of some choreographic figures. The dancers are bathed in shimmering synthetic fumaroles, while round them is woven a web of mottled auras that express the mystic atmosphere of Yano’s universe. The special effects become the visual translation of the spiritual search of a choreographer who, at the end of the 1970s, would discreetly influence many personalities of contemporary French dance.
