The title of this inaugural piece Käfig, “cage” in Arabic and German, indicates the openness of the choreographer Mourad Merzouki and his refusal to lock himself into one style. Hip-hop extends its territory of expression without losing sight of its history.
“Our ambition is to be able to tell our story from the gestures and the hip-hop energy that is ours and to offer the most accurate show possible in terms of choreographic writing.”
