Je reviens pour danser

Je reviens pour danser was born of the desire to return to a place that is deeply linked to the history of Adel El shafey, artistic director of compagnie Le Scribe, and to reinvest it in a new way. Return to dance, yes, but with the help of five people from the multidisciplinary oncology platform (POP) at Louis Pradel hospital.
For three months, during weekly workshops, individual and collective choreographies are created, revealing the personality and history of each individual. Accompanied by the eye and ear of Thibaut Ras, these images render the movement of bodies in space, with strength and lightness.
The camera takes a benevolent look at these bodies that illness has constrained, even damaged. Life trajectories merge, revealing the singularities and vulnerabilities of each person with grace and lightness.
Romain Constant’s original composition, alternating the voices of the participants with electronic sound notes, contributes to the singularity and authenticity of this film.
A collective adventure, which enabled the participants to invest the hospital as a place of creation where everyone can give themselves the right to be a researcher, creator and artist.
