This choregraphic piece was devised in parallel with the exhibition also named «J’ai tout donné». It is a meeting point for many ghosts that have been haunting Alain Michard’s personal life, artists being inaccessible icons, art works and contemporary partners.
The piece begins as it ends with a rock concert in tribute to Daniel Johnston.
The space is divided in three parts : a backstage at sight cluttered with stuff, a central space dedicated to dance and a wall being slowly painted by a man with the lyrics of the song « Story of an artist ».
The choregraphic moment of bravura brings into play a young and an old dancer, constantly out of sync, who wear out their bodies so as to wear out the dance.
