Hommage à Pavel Haas
choreographer Jean-Claude Gallottadancer Jean-Claude Gallotta
When Jean-Claude Galotta takes the microphone to present his solo, Hommage à Pavel Haas, a Czech musician who died at Auschwitz in 1944, night has just fallen on the amphitheatre and it is impossible not to listen to these words without a certain solemnity. The Cultural Centre of Châteauvallon has taken sides – and not the side of obscurantism. “This is a very beautiful homage paid by the choreographer from Grenoble. It is a solo of fifteen minutes, far removed from the rest of the performance, which made its audience think rather than see.”Murielle Fourlon
