HIT AND RUN
Trailer
In 2001, CoisCéim Dance Theatre ventured into the world of dance film and was the first dance company to receive funding from Bord Scannán na hÉireann / The Irish Film Board for the film HIT AND RUN.
Co-produced by CoisCéim Dance Theatre and Saffron Pictures, HIT AND RUN is a dark, edgy, dance film about the disintegration of a young urban gang whose lives are changed forever in one night. Their story is portrayed in a visually rich movement narrative that brings a new dimension to Irish Cinema.
Synopsis
The film centres on the story of one night in the life of eight characters who meet up in a large derelict building. It is large without apparent limits, a maze of corridors, stairs, halls, landings, machinery, cathedral-like vaults and dark pits like futuristic dungeons. An industrial forest of dead technology. But it is also in its own way, a magical place, a place of transformation and those who enter will not leave unchallenged or unchanged. In this story, only seven will leave…
