Étude de l'ombre
Capture of the creation residency realized at the Épicerie Moderne, Lyon.
It is in the vagaries of darkness that Johan Corrèze, Romain Nassini and Jérémy Tran, respectively from light, music and dance, offer a Study of the shadow conceived as a sensitive and contemplative exploration. A journey where light becomes the object of all possibilities, and shade becomes the central figure.
On the echo, piano notes burst out and echo the gestures of the three performers, all present on the stage, all subject to the same risk of being both highlighted and draped in dark. Where the tension of instant composition makes it possible to reveal bodies, to bring out encounters, to question shadows. At the heart of today’s performance and dramaturgy.
Here, Johan Corrèze manipulates light on sight, allowing the public to immerse themselves in know-how that is usually invisible. He transforms it, gives it flesh, makes it dance and diffuses its gaze. Romain Nassini composes live music. Plunged into darkness, he gives voice to the invisible, accompanies and provokes his acolytes, interprets their voice. Jérémy Tran, for his part, puts his dance to the service of the Study, venturing to make material, almost palpable, the contrasts brought into play on stage. An experience of the senses.
When light becomes a subject, what does it light? Herself ? Impossible. Can it exist? Can it only exist without support? Therefore, how to make existing what is not seen
