The group
A Corps Danse (Saint-Leu-la-Forêt, Île-de-France)
The group A Corps Danse resulted from a desire to bring together advanced-level female dancers to engage in demanding projects. Made up of varying personalities, it has participated with great complicity in many projects: adaptation of Ambra Senatore’s Passo, creation of Brumes orientales with Farid Ounchiouenne, an original creation based on Aperghis’ Récitations, an extract from The Rite of Spring, and two performances with Lionel Hoch : FOG at the Bains numériques and MOB, in Vincent Delétang’s version.
The project
Moved by his meeting with the dancers and their paths, Daniel Larrieu committed himself to the transmission of En piste, around the danced song that has so often featured in his work over the years. The group opted for texts sung mainly by women: voices that become mouthpieces, while the dancers become the text’s interpreters. This piece tackles a specific work on words and phrases, with precise and sliced gestures. This approach echoes their research into the musicality of gestures and the relationship between music and dance.
