Outside Germany, this legendary work The Green Table is only very rarely revived internationally. Thomas Caley, an interpreter with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in the 1990s, took up the challenge of delivering an interpretation of it, based on the transmission entrusted to Karin Hermes that relies on the Labanotation prepared by Kurt Jooss himself in the Laban notation system.
