The solo Demi Lune was the first performance by the compagnie Azanie, created in 1992. Fred Bendongué produced himself to the music of Josephine Baker and Archie Shepp, and worked on the origins of break-dance, on the meaning of the term hip-hop as a movement of resistance and of artistic creativity.
