“De l’amour et d’autres choses”, is the subject of this work by Rafaela Carrasco. The story of two lovers after their first meeting or the eternal ever-told subject, from Shakespeare to Georges Sand. Although it has been hackneyed over and over, the subject is still a current and inexhaustible one, whether it be in life, in literature, music or theatre. The flamenco, with its sensuality and fury, lends itself particularly to the exercise. Over six decors, the choreographer and her partner, Daniel Doña, throw themselves headlong into a vibrant duo, celebrating love, the fruit of passion, love that believes and then dies, love that leaves traces. “Nowadays, the fragility of human relationships, “liquid” love as Zigmunt Barman defined it, is a theme that is just as current and inexhaustible as it was hundreds of years ago” explains the choreographer. It couldn’t be said better.
