Daral Shaga is an opera at the crossroads of circus and theater-cinema.
Daral Shaga is an opera at the crossroads of circus arts and theatre-cinema. Following the encounter of a returning emigrant and a father/daughter duo on the way to a better place elsewhere, the show tackles the theme of the border and the loss of identity. Five acrobats confront several walls, projection spaces of bodies and images, accompanied in their journey by three singers, three musicians and a phantom choir.
The challenge behind this creation is to give the circus a real place within a contemporary opera, while also reflecting the violence of the illnesses of exile.
