CouaC is a long and silent preparation of an orchestra in the making. It’s a chorus, a large beating heart, threatened by a heart attack.
Four moustachioed men laboriously try to construct this orchestra, using wooden sticks of all sizes.
The stage is continually busy with their lost bodies, off balance, doing absurd movements, and yet being daily life figures, reminding us of Buster Keaton’s movies and Samuel Beckett’s anti-heroes.
They play with the public’s complicity seated close to the action and somehow create a choregraphy of the wandering, with sound rising. Very minimalist noises gradually increase so as to finally become a powerful dadaist-rock concert.
