Beaucoup d'amour
“Beaucoup d’amour” (1994) is a documentary by Arnold Pasquier. It was shot during the workshops proposed by Josef Nadj in November 1993 as part of the IFOB (“Danse au lycée” course and the UEREPS-Paris V “Danse et Théâtre”) at the Théâtre de la Cité Universitaire (Paris), Locaux de la Sorbonne, Université Paris V-René Descartes.
Remark by Arnold Pasquier in 2019 :
“Annie Sellem commissioned from me the recording of two dance workshops led by the choreographer Josef Nadj. One was intended for secondary school pupils, at the Théâtre de la Cité Universitaire de Paris ; the other for sports students from the UEREPS-Paris V. An opportunity, by moving from one place to another, to do what I like most: accompany dance movements by getting as close as possible to the interpreters. I remember “dancing” with the participants in the two courses, being as close as possible to their bodies, passing around them to ensure fluid camera movements. This workshop memory would become the subject of the film “Beaucoup d’amour”, which narrates in 29 minutes this unique experience.”
