BARBAKAN
The Barbakan is a contemporary musical dance film made up of four movements.
The piece describes the relationship of two contrastring characters, they loneliness, similarities and differences. The original musical idea of the piece by András Párniczky was developed into a two-part rhythmic composition by Samu Gryllus. What constitute the very essence of this polyrhythmic composition is the dancers’moves and the sound effects thus evoked.
