Dance and the individual. Dance in the collective spirit of the ball. The individual caught between the desire for fusion and detachment. Shouting stories like silent cries.

Bal solitude combines three contrasted musical universes in order to give meaning to the French delension : « Danses, Danse, Dans ». This ballet is composed of collective dances to the music of mambos from the fifties, sensual and imaginative duets expressing the soul of dance to Mozart adagios and, finally, the highlighting of the individual on the dodecaphonic sounds of the Hungarian composer György Kurtág. The scenery is an aquarium in which dancers move like a shoal of fish, but always being solitary.
