À bientôt
À Bientôt is a creation whose title evokes the feeling of putting everything back into play, while keeping what may have happened, to start a new story.
One day, one departure.
Both the beginning and the end of a journey.
It’s a simple shift in space and time.
A tearing away.
This creation puts the body to work. It oscillates between armour and carnal envelope, and reveals itself in multiple facets, in constant mutation. Home to the soul and the spirit, it finds the answers to our questions with instinct and sometimes brutality.
On this winding path, a process of introspection begins that proves to be the starting point of a journey towards the self, giving us a glimpse of what might seem insignificant, but could turn out to be the essential. With their raw, contrasting dance, these women embark on a great journey, drawing us in and encouraging us to step outside ourselves. It’s about bodies, space, memories and stories. A journey in all its forms.
This piece, premiered in 2021, is the winner of the Sobanova Choreography Competition in 2019, the Synodales and Choreography 38 in Hanover (Germany) in 2024.
