In July the choreographic artist Dai Jian joins us for a residency around his new creation ECO ECHO, ARTIFICIAL CIRCULATION.

At a time of energy savings and the  inexorable call of our planet to cherish it and respect the fragile  balance of its ecosystem, Dai Jian would like to take a singular look, as a dancer of our time, for a while, on what contemporary ecology may  mean through our bodies, in our movements and our human and creative  relationship with Nature.

He seeks to understand how the most cutting-edge inventions and  creations of our era are going to serve the rebirth of an almost lost  nature. He would like a dance to offer lasting human energy and inspire  the continuity and reincarnation of the movement of our species, which  is deeply embedded in our highly technological world.

Eco Echo, Artificial Circulation is a piece in which the energy of  movement is transmitted, transformed and reincarnated by traveling from  one dancer to another without anything coming to stop in the gestures  and the course of the movement. The choreography is supported by  imposing half-human, half-plastic works representing the primary  building blocks of Nature. There are 5 artists, like the elements in  Chinese tradition, and each of them plays a crucial role in the balance  of Ying and Yang.

This balance now depends on us, on the progress and the march of  Science towards a digital future faster than the light, abundant, and  mysterious, which every man embraces and wishes for the best. Our  technologies, our knowledge accumulated and saved on hard disks, then  recycled, and reused will it save the most basic balance of Nature,  including our bodies sometimes a little abused by our learned minds but  naturally consumers.
