Rodriguez Vangama is an artist/musician from Kinshasa. A highly-renowned guitarist, he is frequently called upon for his talents as a musician, arranger and producer by leading figures like Papa Wemba, Werrason, Jean Goubald and Monik Tenday. He also plays in the jazz band J’Affrozz and has worked with artists such as Pierre Vaiana and Baloji, in particular for recording his album Kinshasa Succursale. Rodriguez has toured many times with Lexxus Legal throughout Africa and Europe. With his band Les Salopards he combines popular Congolese music with elements from jazz and rock. The band’s first album, Niveau Zéro, was released in 2014.
