Thierry Micomyiza

Micomyiza Pacifique Thierry “KUPAWU” (Congo DRC, Mayotte) Artist in Civic Service in the Kingdom of Flowers/KazyaDance, he began his journey as an artist very young by working with traditional dance companies and the national ballet in Congo where he acquired various certificates as a contemporary dancer. Today, recognized as a refugee in France, he was inspired by his true story by creating the piece “INSIDE”, a DUO with Monalysa Chance, first presented at Nuit Chorégraphique, a project in collaboration with KazyaDance in October 2022. He participates in the ongoing creation “La Meute” by Djodjo Kazadi. He drew on the knowledge of various artists through workshops and artistic laboratories within the Kingdom of Flowers/KazyaDance, including: Djodjo Kazadi, Anne-Laure Constantini, Eric Languet, Androa Mindre, Jean Christophe Lanquetin, François Duconseille, Jeff Ridjali and the KazyaDance teaching team. He is now creating two parallel projects in progress: “The Elephant’s Heart” and “The Book of Multifaces”.
