Tina Tarpgaard

Born in Denmark in 1972, Tina Tarpgaard trained at the Rudra Bejart school in Lausanne and at the Rambert School in England. She works as a professional dancer with the following choreographers: Ohad Naharin (Israel), Rui Horta (Portugal) and Poul Selwyn Norton (Netherlands). From 2001 to 2005, she danced with Tim Rushton at DDT (Danish Dance Theatre). In 2003, she created her first choreographic pieces, most of them in collaboration with musicians or video artists. With the composer Pelle Skovmand, they founded the “recoil performance group”. Their goal is to integrate music, dance and digital arts in different ways. His work has been presented in Coppenhagen, Belgrade, Amsterdam and San Francisco.
