Système Castafiore

Creation: 1989
Founded in 1989, Système Castafiore is directed by Marcia Barcellos and Karl Biscuit. Students of Alwin Nikolaïs, close to the California group Tuxedomoon, they participated in the young French dance movement as members of the collective group, Lolita. Concentrating their research on the fabrication of meaning, they have developed a multidisciplinary artistic project, open to experimentation, where the conjunction and interaction between dance, music and visual arts join together to reinvent the world while having fun. During a residence at La Maison de la Danse (Lyon, France), the two choreographers created in 2016 the piece “Théorie des prodiges”.
