Arno Schuitemaker

After obtaining his Master’s degree at the University of Technology Delft, Arno Schuitemaker (1976, The Netherlands) decided to change course and to study contemporary dance. Since his graduation in 2007, he created a wide variety of theatre and site-specific performances like Proxemics (2007), ZONE (2008), ANOMIA (2008), EXIT (2009), Couple (2010) and TIDE (2011). He is a guest teacher at the BAD Choreography department of Fontys School of Performing Arts and he regularly teaches workshops and classes for professional dancers. He won the Dioraphte Encouragement Award 2009, was selected for the Brabant supports Top Talent 2010 grant, and is part of the Aerowaves Priority List 2013.
